The true story about junior welterweight boxer Micky Ward, is in post production and found the sometime prickly David O.Russell ( Three Kings, I Heart Huckabees ) directing the film with Mark Wahlberg as Ward and Christian Bale as his trainer/brother Dicky Eklund. As you can see by the photo, Bale went for another method weight loss in the role.
Rounding out the cast is Amy Adams as Ward's bartender girlfriend, Melissa Leo as the pair's mother, and Allison Folland as Ward's ex girlfriend. There has been no release date set for this hush,hush production.
