Screen Actors Guild Nominations

No real BIG surprises here, other than Hilary Swank's nomination for Conviction... in which by the way is her first nomination of the year. This nod could influence her chances at an Oscar nomination now. Doesn't hurt that's for sure.
Glad to see John Hawkes there in support for Winter's Bone, he's a character actor that's been doing it for a long time and he's very convincing in that role as Teardrop. I don't understand the Jeremy Renner nod for The Town. He was good but I didn't feel worthy of SAG attention. I'd have Sam Rockwell or Michael Douglas in there instead of Renner. Nice to see newcomer Hailee Steinfeld get a supporting nomination for True Grit as Mattie Ross. She held her own just fine in the film against some cagey veterans such as Bridges, Damon and Brolin.

About Me

My photo
Started to really pay attention to film ( movies ) what was going on in front of the camera, but more interestingly, behind it as well at about as far back as age 10. Motion pictures ( when good ) are a fascinating medium. All the work and prep that goes into filmmaking. It's an amazing process !
