October 7, 2011 will bring director Gavin O' Connor's ( Pride and Glory, Miracle ) next film Warrior intyo theaters, starring the up and coming Tom Hardy, who by the way has just been recently cast as the main villain in the upcoming Dark Knight sequel. The film also stars Nick Nolte, Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Morrison, Noah Emmerich, Kevin Dunn, Kurt Angle and Frank Grillo. Newton Thomas Sigel ( Valkyrie, Three Kings ) provided the cinematography.
The film is about former boxer (Nolte), whose alcoholism tore apart his family, welcomes back his youngest son (Hardy) and trains him to compete in a mixed martial arts tournament – a path that puts the son on a collision course with his older brother (Edgerton).
