Kristen Stewart as Snow White ?

Kristen Stewart is reportedly just a signature away from portraying Snow White in the upcoming film adaptation of the classic fairy tale.

Kristen, 20, was offered the lead role in Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman. As previously reported Stewart was on the shortlist of possible actresses to portray Snow White in the Rupert Sanders-directed live-action film. Apparently she won over the movie bigwigs! Sanders is a newcomer to directing films but did receive a DGA nomination in 2009 for his commercial work.

Other actresses that were being considered for the role of Snow White included Kristen’s Runaways co-star Riley Keough and Sucker Punch star Emma Browning.

There is no word on if Kristen will accept the role but if decides to sign on to the film it will be her first post-Twilight project. The young actress is currently in the middle of filming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Other stars that are rumored to be joining the film include Charlize Theron (who will play the Evil Queen) and Viggo Mortensen as The Huntsman. Filming is to begin this summer with a December 21, 2012 release date.

When I read about this, I was like WTF.
It is real, because I do not imagine her as 'Snow White'

But that's ok, I mean i probably going to watch the movie....

They are very close to casting her. She's the filmmakers first chocie. Hers to lose if she wants. I felt the same way ( wtf ? ) I like the Theron and Mortensen casting though. I'm still trying to have Kristen win me over for overall talent. But one thing is in her favor... she's still very young and can improve.

Started to really pay attention to film ( movies ) what was going on in front of the camera, but more interestingly, behind it as well at about as far back as age 10. Motion pictures ( when good ) are a fascinating medium. All the work and prep that goes into filmmaking. It's an amazing process !
