Biutiful preview/synopsis

January 28

Directed by Oscar nominee Alejandro Gonzales Inarittu ( Babel, 21 Grams ) starring Oscar winner Javier Bardem ( No Country For Old Men ) written by Inarittu, Armado Bo and Nicolas Giacabone, cinematography by Oscar nominee Rodrigo Prieto ( Brokeback Mountain, 21 Grams ) editing by Oscar nominee Stephen Mirrone ( Babel, Traffic ) and original score by two time Oscar winner Gustavo Santaolla ( Babel, Brokeback Mountain )

Premise: This is a story of a man in free fall. On the road to redemption, darkness lights his way. Connected with the afterlife, Uxbal ( Bardem ) is a tragic hero and father of two who's sensing the danger of death. He struggles with a tainted reality and a fate that works against him in order to forgive, for love, and forever.

Rated R for disturbing images, language, some sexual content, nudity and some drug use. 147 min.

Oscar chances ? Pretty good, given the fact that Javier Bardem received his 2nd best actor Oscar nomination.

About Me

My photo
Started to really pay attention to film ( movies ) what was going on in front of the camera, but more interestingly, behind it as well at about as far back as age 10. Motion pictures ( when good ) are a fascinating medium. All the work and prep that goes into filmmaking. It's an amazing process !
