Tom Hanks goes back behind the camera




Larry Crowne is the film that Tom Hanks is wearing two hats this time, starring and directing in a script he co-wrote with Nia Vardalos which is now currently filming in Los Angeles. Co-starring with him will be his Charlie Wilson's War castmate Julia Roberts, along with Vardalos, Bryan Cranston, Taraji P. Henson, Cedric the Entertainer, Pam Grier, Jon Seda, Wilmer Valderrama, George Takei, Rob Riggle, Dale Dye and his TV series cohort from his Bosom Buddies days Peter Scolari.
The film is about a man in his early 50's who decides to go back to college and reinvent himself. Oscar winning cinematographer Philippe Rousselot ( A River Runs Through It, Big Fish ) is lensing the movie. It's getting a 2011 release date.
