Filming on the Steven Soderbergh directed medical thriller Contagion, has commenced in Hong Kong. Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Marion Cotillard and Lawrence Fishburne had already been cast but new names have been added to the already impressive cast. Also on board is Bryan Cranston, Elliot Gould, John Hawkes, Jennifer Ehle and Demetri Martin.
The premsie of the film is action-thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak. Scott Z. Burns ( The Informant )is the screenwriter.
Lensing will move to Chicago in October, and the movie will see a October 21, 2011 release date. Sound like Oscar bait ?
