Oren Moverman's new crooked police film Rampart, has begun filming in the mean streets of LA and centered on the widespread corruption in the anti-gang unit of the Los Angeles Police Department's Rampart Division in the late 1990s.The project which has reunited the director with Ben Foster and Woody Harrelson, who had previously worked together on the critically acclaimed indie The Messenger.
More casting has taken place, and joining those three will also be Ice Cube, Steve Buscemi, Robin Wright, Sigourney Weaver, Anne Heche and Cynthia Nixon. Moverman is sharing co-writing duty with James Ellroy and the film will be shot by DP Bobby Bukowski ( Tangled, Arlington Road )
