Pitt and Forster to take on World War Z

Well, Brad Pitt isn't wasting any time between movie projects, he has just finished shooting the Billy Bean baseball film Moneyball, and has already signed on to join director Marc Forster ( Monster's Ball, Finding Neverland ) who himself is in post production on the true story Machine Gun Preacher, in a adaptation of the Max Brooks novel World War Z, with Matthew Michael Caranahan adapting the screenplay.
The premise is about ten years after the human victory over the world wide Zombie epidemic, referred to as World War Z, Max Brooks ( Pitt ) scours the world collecting the stories and experiences of those who have survived the conflict that almost eradicated humanity.
Longtime Forster director of photography Roberto Schaefer will be the cinematographer on the project which is already deep into pre-production and will see Pitt also producing and the film looking for a July 2012 release date.
