No A listers for Spielberg's next project

Usually with a Steven Spielberg project, his cast, especially the leads are usually the cream of the A list crop, but with his new movie War Horse, he's casting lesser known actors this time around. The actors that have been cast are Jeremy Irvine, David Thewlis, Tom Hiddelston, Stephen Graham, Peter Mullan, David cross and Emily Watson, easily the most known name out of them all.

The movie is an adaptation from the book by Michael Morpurgo ( pictured )which later became a popular a Broadway play. The adaptation is written by Oscar nominees Richard Curtis ( Four Weddings and A Funeral ) and Lee Hall ( Billy Elliot ) and longtime Spielberg cinematographer Janusz Kaminiski will be doing the photography. Filming will be held in Surrey, England and a August 10, 2011 is the planned day for release.

The premise of the film goes like this; at the outbreak of World War I, Joey, young Albert's beloved horse, is sold to the cavalry and shipped to France. He's soon caught up in enemy fire; death, disease and fate take him on an extraordinary odyssey, serving on both sides before finding himself alone in No man's land. But Albert cannot forget Joey and, still not old enough to enlist, he embarks on a dangerous mission to find him and bring him home.

Sounds like a pretty baity project to keep an eye on.

Started to really pay attention to film ( movies ) what was going on in front of the camera, but more interestingly, behind it as well at about as far back as age 10. Motion pictures ( when good ) are a fascinating medium. All the work and prep that goes into filmmaking. It's an amazing process !
