Directed by Oscar nominee Jason Reitman ( Juno, Thank You For Smoking ) starring George Clooney, Vera Farmiga, Anna Kendrick, Jason Bateman, Melanie Lynskey, Danny McBride, Zach Galifinakis, Sam Elliot, JK Simmons. Written by Reitman and Sheldon Turner, Cinematography by Eric Steelberg ( Juno, 500 Days Of Summer ) Editing by Dana E. Glauberman ( Love Happens, Factory Girl ) Original music by Golden Globe nominee Rolfe Kent ( Sideways, Legally Blonde )
Story is adaptation of the 2001 Walter Kim novel, about a traveling down sizing expert, Ryan Bingham ( Clooney- as someone who travels to companies to fire people ) and council those in transitional careers. His company fly's him around the country, never staying in one city very long, which in fact he has become very used to, being able to party and have one night stands whimsically on his commpany's tab, in which he has accumulated almost one million frequent flyer miles in doing so. Ryan in the meantime knows full well, that nobody is teflon from being replaced or fired, and the goal becomes to reach his on million miles mark before he himself gets fired. Through his travels he meets a a woman ( Farmiga ) who he takes a liking to more than he initially thought. Someone like him, and he identifies with.
Rated R for language and some sexual content.
Oscar chances ? Looking good so far. Film recieved some very good reviews at the Toronto Film Festival. Strong possibilities for Picture, Actor, Director, Supporting Actress and Screenplay.

- Started to really pay attention to film ( movies ) what was going on in front of the camera, but more interestingly, behind it as well at about as far back as age 10. Motion pictures ( when good ) are a fascinating medium. All the work and prep that goes into filmmaking. It's an amazing process !
