Secretariat Preview/Synopsis
Secretariat October 8
Directed by Randall Wallace ( We Were Soldiers ) Starring Diane Lane, John Malkovich,
James Cromwell, Scott Glenn, Kevin Connolly, Dylan Walsh. Written by Mike Rich ( Radio, Finding Forrester ) Cinematography by Oscar winner Dean Semler ( Dances With Wolves, Apocalypto ), Editing by Oscar nominee John Wright ( Speed, The Hunt For Red October ) original music by Nick Glennie-Smith ( The Rock )
The film tells the story of the Penny Chenery and her United States' Hall of Fame racehorse, Secretariat (born March 30, 1970 — died October 4, 1989) who, in 1973, became the first horse in twenty-five years to win the United States Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing. Penny Chenery took over the financially troubled Meadow Stable from her ailing father and guided the horse through his Triple Crown season. Other key characters are trainer Lucien Laurin and jockey Ron Turcotte and Secretariat's mind blowing 31 length win at the 73 Belmont Stakes.
PG- 13 for brief strong language.
Oscar chances ? Many in the know are calling it this years Blind Side. It's most definitely a feel good story. I think best picture, actress ( Lane ) best supporting actor ( Malkovich ), costumes and cinematography have good chances at nominations.

About Me
- No Bad Movies
- Started to really pay attention to film ( movies ) what was going on in front of the camera, but more interestingly, behind it as well at about as far back as age 10. Motion pictures ( when good ) are a fascinating medium. All the work and prep that goes into filmmaking. It's an amazing process !
