Since Amelia hasn't exactly been overwhelming critics, the studio Fox Searchlight, that brought Oscar attention from their films Juno and Slumdog Millionaire, are navigating the Jeff Bridges country inspired film Crazy Heart for a 2009 release. People that have seen a screening say it's possibly Bridges best work. That is saying something because the actor has never been bad. In anything. And how about a guy that's couldn't be more due in his career for a Oscar nomination ?
I was on this when they were filming and remember a crew member mentioning that it would be a big fail if he doesn't get a Oscar nod for this role. Good. The best actor category could use a shake up.
