Love Ranch Preview/Synopsis
Love Ranch June 30
Directed by Taylor Hackford ( Ray, The Devil's Advocate ) Starring Helen Mirren, Joe Pesci, Gina Gershon, Bryan Cranston, Ling Bai, Taryn Manning, Scout Taylor- Compton, Sergio Peris- Mecheta. Written by Mark Jaconson, cinematography by Kieran McGuigan ( The Other Boylen Girl ) editing by Oscar winner Paul Hirsch ( Star Wars, Ray ) Original music by Chris Bacon ( Charlie Wilson's War, Defiance )
Love Ranch is the true story based on the lives of Joe and Sally Conforte, who are now in this version Charlie and Grace Botempo, a married couple who were the very first people in the U.S. to open a legal brothel; The Mustang Ranch in the 1970's. The premise in the story does get some tweaking when all falls apart when their marriage gets tested by infidelity.
Rated R for sexual content, pervasive language and some violence.
Oscar chances ? A long time ago I may have thought so but this film has been in the can for over two years. Not a good sign. I guess there could be a slight chance for Mirren, but as of right now I wouldn't bet on it.

About Me
- No Bad Movies
- Started to really pay attention to film ( movies ) what was going on in front of the camera, but more interestingly, behind it as well at about as far back as age 10. Motion pictures ( when good ) are a fascinating medium. All the work and prep that goes into filmmaking. It's an amazing process !
