Do they have to do one every decade ?
Looks like Warner Brothers have tapped Doug Liman to direct his version of The Three Musketeers, in 3-D no less ( is every film going 3-D now ? )
I personally don't see the reason in rehashing one of the most overdone books in movie history.
Here is how many films have been made through the years...
1933
1935
1948- Directed by George Sidney and Starring Gene Kelly, Van Heflin, Gig Young, Robert Coote, Vincent Price, Lana Turner, Angela Lansbury and June Allyson.
1953
1966
1973- Directed by Richard Lesster and starring Michael York, Oliver Reed, Richard Chamberlain, Frank Finlay, Christopher Lee, Faye Dunaway and Charlton Heston.
1987- Animated series.
1993- Directed by Stephen Herek and starring Keifer Sutherland, Charlie Sheen, Oliver Platt, Chris O' Donnell, Rebecca DeMornay, Tim Curry, Gabriel Anwar.
I guess I'm just a stickler for original screenplays and material. I mean really ? Are people really starving for another Musketeers movie ? I know I'm not.
