More from the set on Rise Of The Apes
Rise Of The Apes, a adventure/sci-fi film, is directed by Rupert Wyatt ( The Escapist ) and is starring James Franco, Freida Pinto, Brian Cox, Tom Felton, Andy Serkis and John Lithgow.
Premise of the film ( and no it's not connected to The Planet Of The Apes franchise ) takes place in modern day San Francisco, where Franco will play a scientist who's working on a cure for Alzheimer's, by testing it on a ape. When the test subject Caesar suddenly begins to to rapidly evolve, the scientist takes Caesar home to be safe from the other cruel lab doctors. This genetic engineering leads to the intelligence in the apes and to bring on a onset of an ape revolt against humans.
Filming is being done in Vancouver B.C. with Oscar winning cinematographer Andrew Lesnie ( LOTR trilogy ) handling the lensing. The film is expected to see a June 24 2011 release date.

About Me
- No Bad Movies
- Started to really pay attention to film ( movies ) what was going on in front of the camera, but more interestingly, behind it as well at about as far back as age 10. Motion pictures ( when good ) are a fascinating medium. All the work and prep that goes into filmmaking. It's an amazing process !
