Universal will release Clint Eastwood's period drama "Changeling," starring Angelina Jolie, on Oct. 24 in a limited run before going wide one week later [Oct 31].

"Changeling" made its world premiere at the recently [May 20] wrapped Cannes Film Festival, where it was in competition.

At Cannes, the French title of the film was "The Exchange," prompting
speculation that U [Universal] might change the title domestically, but studio and Eastwood are sticking with the original name.

A one minute clip from the film has been available since the premiere of Changeling at the Cannes Film Festival. See the L'ECHANGE (CHANGELING)

The Wikipedia article on Changeling (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Changeling_%28film%29)
contains spoilers but also includes an interesting summary of the articles written about Changeling. Changeling is based upon the tragic events surrounding
the Wineville Chicken Murders. The Wikipedia article on the Wineville Chicken Murders provides a summary of the case.

James Jeffrey Paul, a freelance writer in Raleigh, North Carolina has researched and worked on a biography of Gordon Stewart Northcott, the serial killer and
pedophile who appears in Changeling. The book is titled "Nothing Is Strange with
You: The Life and Crimes of Gordon Stewart Northcott" and will be published sometime in early October.

  2. Dan,
Thanks for weighing in a adding content. I did see those articles. I also think that clip is a weak rep. of the movie. The only thing I'm in the dark about is if they are going to call it Changeling or The Exchange. Some sites have it as The Exchange and others Changleing. It's only two months till release date so they better figure it out !
Hey come back, as I'm always adding something new. I try not to make it mundane and somewhat interesting and maybe something even people might not yet know, and I love to hear other opinion's.

  3. I predict Angelina Jolie vs. Kate Winslet this year. And Winslet is the frontrunner

  4. It's going to be a good race this year. I think there might be a surprise that nobdy is talking about. Something like Rachel McAdams in The Lucky Ones or Sally Hawkins in Happy Go Lucky.
