Two time Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner ( The Hurt Locker, The Town ) has been offered and seems to be close to taking the role as Jason Bourne in the 4th in the series, The Bourne Legacy. Renner would take the role over that Matt Damon has made famous between 2002 to 2007. Damon has backed out on Legacy due to loyalty to director Paul Greengrass, who has decided not to direct the fourth film.
